This mosaic pictures the 73 animal species native to North Korea that are currently threatened with extinction, ranging from Near Threatened (34.2%), Vulnerable (35.6%), Endangered (21.9%), and Critically Endangered (4.1%). The taxonomic group with the most species in danger of extinction is birds (54.8%), followed by mammals (24.7%), fish (11%), invertebrates (6.8%), and amphibians (2.7%).
Species list, classifications, and photos obtained from iNaturalist. There is very little data from North Korea itself, so some of the animal range data placing populations within the country is speculative.
