How to make your own photo mosaic online for free
Free. No registration required. Just follow steps below.
1. Pick your big picture.
Main photo should be simple. Rule of thumb is that it will make a good main image if you can make out what it is as a small thumbnail.Click crop to crop your main photo into one of many common frame sizes. Your mosaic will have same width to height ratio as your main photo.
2. Pick your small pictures.
Tile photos are square. For best result, if someone's head is cut off from the default center crop area, move the square crop area, and click crop. You do not need to crop if default center crop looks good.
Hold Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple files.
3. Preview and customize your mosaic.
True Mosaic: Tile photos are not colorized/superimposed with main photo. Do this if using many small photos with colors similar to your main photo.Enhanced Mosaic: Tile photos are colorzied/superimposed with main photo. Do this to make your mosaic more easily recognizable from a distance.
Use bigger tiles if your main photo is simple. Use smaller tiles to make your mosaic more easily recognizable from a distance.
When playing around with tile sizes, take into consideration how large each tile photo will be on your print, which will depend on the print size.
